Course Description
A complete Phase I and Phase II NRA “Basics of Pistol Shooting” course. This 7 -hour course features hands-on interactive instruction including live lecture, video, and laser training pistols using reactive targets and video simulation. An additional 1 hour of range time will be scheduled separately and is included in course fee. An official NRA certificate of training will be awarded upon successful completion of a written test and shooting qualification.

Students who have completed the NRA Phase I e-Learning module of the Basics of Pistol Shooting can make arrangements to complete the Phase II, instructor led class and shooting qualification. (For those having already completed the on-line NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Phase I)
All courses utilize the NRA firearms training concepts and principles and are objective based. Classroom instruction will cover each major category of handguns. You do not have to belong to the NRA, own a handgun, or have a concealed carry license to take a class.
Our class facilities are conveniently located and provide a comfortable, air conditioned, handicapped accessible learning environment, with restrooms and easy parking.
We will break for 10 minutes every hour. In order to finish class in a reasonable time span, we will provide a light lunch in classroom.
Each student will receive a student packet containing both in-class materials and take home reference information. You are welcome to bring a personal firearm to class, but no ammunition is permitted in the classroom.
Eye and ear protection can be rented or purchased at class time. Rental $5, Purchase $15.
As a courtesy to others, we ask that all cell phones be silenced during class time.
Cancellation within 48 hours of class time will incur $25.00 cancellation fee.
Students must be at least 18 years of age, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Location
Our primary class location is at 2704 S Goyer Rd, Kokomo, IN 46902.
Additionally, BSFT will travel to your facility (within 150 miles). If live fire course is desired, availability of nearby range is necessary. Travel fee $0.25/mile over 100 miles from Kokomo
