Phase II NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting

completes the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course that was started on-line at the NRA website as Phase I.

Phase II Course is 3 to 4 hours of classroom review of Phase I to assure satisfactory comprehension. Approximately 1 hour of range time will be scheduled separately for the Qualification requirement. Range fees are included in course fee. If the student does not have their own firearm, one can be rented from the range if available or the student can use an instructor provided firearm for a small maintenance fee.   • Firearm Safety and Range Safety Review

  • Fundamentals of aim, breath control, hold, trigger control, and follow through

  • Loading, cocking, de-cocking, and unloading

  • Clearing malfunctions

  • Maintenance

  • Shooting positions

  • Live fire shooting qualification (at range)

Course Fee is $65.00 (Cash, Check or Credit Card)

Registration for Phase II can be done by the student at the NRA training website or Blue Steel Firearms Training can do it for you. We must confirm from the NRA that you successfully completed Phase I.
